OUR MISSION STATEMENT

Imaginarium Theatre Company is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization registered in the state of New York. We are dedicated to creating stimulating stories for the modern world while pursuing and advocating for environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive practices in the theatre industry. We strive to provide opportunities for emerging artists to gain industry experience and work collaboratively in order to build networks of talent and generate new works that enrich contemporary theatre.

Syona is an NYC-based actor, writer, director, creator, and who-knows-what-else. They earned their BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where they trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. Born in the USA, raised in Belgium, and of Indian heritage, Syona is a third-culture-kid who enjoys exploring psychology and philosophy in the theatre and in life.

Sofía is an artist from Lima, Peru. She likes to act, sing, and dance — skills she developed at NYU Tisch and Strasberg. She loves late-19th century plays, musicals with at least one soprano part that is neither a trope nor a plot device, and any form of satire. Sofía is currently studying political science at the University of Oxford, but will always be a drama kid at heart.

Emma Hoersdig is a recent graduate of NYU Tisch where she studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Her heart lies in all things weird, dark, macabre, and scary. She's currently based in Columbus, Ohio with her pet rat and many plants.

Rena is a Los Angeles-based writer, producer, sometimes director, and once-in-a-blue-moon actor. She graduated from Scripps College with a degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and many half-minors in psychology, chemistry, biology, and theatre. She is fascinated by perception, parallel narratives, and what remains unsaid. When she's not working on her many creative projects, Rena can be found at her local climbing gym and exploring the city in search of new coffee shops to write in.

Savannah Van LeuvaN

Savannah Van Leuvan is a Lighting Designer specializing in design for both theatre and dance. Her designs have been seen in both Northern and Southern California, but she has designed productions across the United States. She got her BA in Theatre at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She loves theater that tells impactful, human stories and has a passion for social justice. She currently lives in Shelton, WA with her grandmother, 3 cats, and 9 chickens.

Julie is an actor, mover, and theatre-maker. Born in California and raised in China, she ultimately ended up in NYC to study Drama at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Julie is proud to be a queer, Asian artist, and she strives for compassion in all aspects of her work. Outside of the arts, she also has a love for cats, cooking, and the New York Times Crossword.
